!!! DOOM DOOM DOOM DOOM DOOM DOOM !!! (Hosting problems, we’ll be back in a month or less.)
by SquidDNA on January 22, 2012 at 3:36 pmNow that I have your attention, we’re forced to take a break for, oh, a month, due to our generously provided free hosting drying up rather unfortunately. We had planned on making this transition at a later date on our own terms rather than “when it was absolutely necessary” but there you go. We’ll need to purchase and set up a new wordpress installation, fuck about with themes until it’s just right, and then mess about with restoring our wordpress data. Because messing about with wordpress installations is my least favorite part of this, I’m rounding up to a month. Feel free to check back sooner, but from this post on, typing in http://kirsia.hwcommunity.com should show, as time goes on:
1) This page as normal
2) bad url
3) 404 from the hwcommunity domain
4) Placeholder “WE’LL BE RIGHT BACK” maybe with sketch of Tok beating an alien’s face in
5) Auto-forward to new URL (update yer bookmarks) with new site already set up
Anyway we’ll see you FOR SURE on February 27th. Check back then, or sooner if you feel compelled to do so, but we’ll be ready on the 27th.
Sots 2 could mean the end of this comic
by SquidDNA on August 28, 2011 at 5:25 pmJust so you know, Riess and I have made a mutual agreement to not get Sword of the Stars 2. A rich, engaging space 4X of that caliber would completely destroy our ability to get this comic out to you on the weekly basis we’re committed to. This is mostly to say that if you see one of us eyeing it, slap the hell out of us and tell us to do something more productive. Also don’t taunt us with it, etc.
By some manner of cosmic disturbance, I’ve utterly failed to inexplicably stop working on this project, and instead I’m rather happy to say I’ve buffered up for the next two months. That’s the first half year of updates in the queue, and my first little milestone reached.
That’s all, thanks for your time.
I just want to say how happy I am that we’re doing this. Thank you very much for reading, it’s very gratifying to see a project like this come to fruition but it’s even more gratifying to see people enjoying it.
